I have recently been struggling to pay off my electric bill, it just seems to be getting higher and higher and I'm not sure why.

I admit to not being the most green energy conscious of people, but recently I feel like I have to start making an effort, if only to keep my finances under control.

I have started by making sure all electrical equipment is switched off at the mains when I am not using it (this takes a little bit of effort to remember to do it, when you're so used to leaving everything on stand by!) and secondly I am going to replace all my normal light bulbs with led gu 10 bulbs, which are just as bright, but cost hardly anything in terms of electric.

Once I've done this though, I'm not quite sure what else to do. I'll see how much of a difference it makes. But if it doesn't make enough of a difference, I may have to switch supplier!
